It's Thank You Thursday!

This week we want to express our appreciation for Ms. McCleery, our kitchen manager. She creates a warm and fun space for our cafeteria (you should see her awesome decorations). She is so kind and compassionate as she helps students at breakfast and lunch. She leads our cooking team with positive encouragement and friendliness. BPE is lucky to have her.

Words from the Herd Wednesday A kindergarten student confidently explained to a staff member that she has a glass eye—even pulling on her eyelid and warning that it “isn’t waterproof.” For the record… she does not have a glass eye. The PTA meeting scheduled for tomorrow has been canceled. Thanks for all the support. Our next meeting will be January 21.

Teaching Tuesday at Buffalo Point! Our students earned a special game day in the library as a reward for the incredible responsibility, respect, and focus they’ve shown all term during library time. Learning how to use shared spaces well is an important life skill—and today they celebrated their success with games, teamwork, and lots of smiles. Teaching Tuesday! Our third graders filled the cafeteria with creativity today as they built colorful paper chains while learning real-world economics. They’re practicing production, teamwork, and planning as they gear up for their big Economics Fair next Friday. Buffalo Point learners are hard at work — and having fun along the way! #TeachingTuesday #BuffaloPoint

Just a reminder that tomorrow is not early out. It is a full day. School ends at 3:30. There is no school Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday.

Fun Friday! Today was Colonial Day in 5th grade, and our students went all-in on the experience! From dressing in period clothing to making candles and trying hands-on activities from the “olden days,” they got a small taste of what life was like long ago. We love seeing learning come alive—great job, 5th grade!
