We are incredibly proud of the students, staff and families at Sunburst and Kays Creek Elementary's for coming together to support a great cause. Over the past six months, these two schools have been collecting pop tabs for the Ronald McDonald House—all sparked by Megan Shipp, Sunburst’s Behavior Coach, and her son, a Kays Creek student, who was diagnosed with leukemia. Thanks to the generosity of everyone involved, they’ve filled over 6 gallon-sized buckets with tabs to help families facing tough times. This project shows how one small act of kindness can inspire an entire community to make a BIG difference. #MakingADifference #RonaldMcDonaldHouse #PopTabCollection #Every1DSD #TogetherWeCan

Foxboro Elementary Students Shine in "BOTS!" Musical. Foxboro Elementary recently showcased the incredible talents of its fourth, fifth and sixth graders in the new musical "BOTS!" The show, featuring robots and their builders in an exciting robotics competition, emphasized the power of teamwork both on and off the stage. “It was amazing to see the students shine and really own their performances,” said Mr. Lingen, Foxboro’s Drama teacher and "BOTS!" director. The performance brought together months of hard work from the cast and crew, including choreography by fourth grade teachers Mrs. Barber and Ms. Brassell. The "BOTS!" musical was performed at both Woods Cross High School and Foxboro Elementary, where students dazzled community members. “It was so fun to watch the students perform in front of their peers and families,” said Mrs. Ari, a kindergarten teacher and parent of a cast member. Foxboro Elementary is proud to offer opportunities for students to showcase their talents and looks forward to more performances in the future. #FoxboroElementary #BOTSMusical #SchoolSpirit #Teamwork #StudentTalent

We're still smiling after a recent event at Viewmont High, where there were over 200 attendees who came together for an enriching conversation with the panelists. The panel featured two students and two parents, who shared their personal stories and insights about their home countries, cultural challenges and the support that has helped them since moving here. Their courage and wisdom made for a truly inspiring discussion. We’re already looking forward to more opportunities to connect and learn from one another in the future. #CommunityConnection #ViewmontHigh #StrongerTogether #Every1DSD

✨ District after-school students are shining bright. They've been busy exploring the science of sound through music, experimenting with instruments and creating their own melodies with Katherine Fowles. In theatre, they've brought the story of "The Lorax" to life with vibrant puppetry and imaginative set designs with Elise Hansen. Witnessing their creativity and enthusiasm makes our hearts sing! This is in collaboration with Community Schools and the BTS Arts Program. #StudentSuccess #AfterSchoolPrograms #CreativeExpression #btsalp

A Magical Surprise at Hill Field, Holt, Layton and South Clearfield! The holidays came early for kindergarten students at Hill Field, Holt, Layton and South Clearfield Elementary Schools, as they were treated to a magical surprise! After hearing the heartwarming tale of The Elves and the Shoemaker, the students were thrilled to discover that their wrapped gifts contained a brand-new pair of shoes! The joy on their faces as they opened their gifts and tried on their new shoes was absolutely priceless. You could see the excitement in their eyes as they eagerly checked to make sure their new shoes fit just right! This year, over 450 students across several schools received these thoughtful gifts, ensuring they’ll stay warm and comfortable during the winter season. Fairfield Junior High School raised money and had a great time during their 2-week Clash of Cash event. Students delivered a $1500 check to Safe Harbor to support families in need within the community. Throughout the event, teachers signed up for different things they would be willing to do if enough money was raised. The administration even got in on the fun by dressing up as Cindy Lou, Max and the Grinch and dancing with the dance club at an assembly.

Fairfield Junior High Turns Math into an Adventure with ELF-Themed Escape Room. Students in the ninth-grade math classes at Fairfield Junior High recently took part in a one-of-a-kind learning experience — an ELF-themed escape room designed to challenge their math skills in a fun and engaging way. As part of the activity, students worked together to solve math problems and puzzles through the "7 Levels of the Candy Cane Forest" and the "Sea of Twirly Swirly Gum Drops." Each challenge brought them one step closer to the final clue, which would allow them to escape through the Lincoln Tunnel to victory. This hands-on, interactive approach utilizing the newly adopted Illustrative Mathematics curriculum not only helped students strengthen their math and problem-solving skills but also fostered teamwork and creative thinking. The energy and excitement were palpable as students collaborated, cracked codes and raced against the clock. The event combined holiday cheer with educational value, making math both exciting and memorable. Fairfield Junior High continues to find innovative ways to make learning fun. #FairfieldJuniorHigh #MathAdventure #EscapeRoom #LearningThroughFun

🎁 Vikings Give Shopping Day: A Heartwarming Success at Viewmont High! 🎁 Recently, Viewmont High School took part in one of the most heartwarming events of the season — Vikings Give Shopping Day! With over 175 student volunteers in attendance, the morning was filled with excitement, generosity and holiday spirit as students worked together to provide a special Christmas for 275 children from the Grandfamilies organization. Thanks to the incredible support from Centerville Walmart, which graciously opened its doors early at 5:00 a.m. just for these volunteers, Viewmont students had the entire store to themselves as they shopped for gifts to fulfill the wish lists of the children they were paired with. From toys to clothing to essentials, each student carefully selected items to bring joy to their assigned child this holiday season. 🎁✨ As of Dec. 17, $58,000 had been raised through Vikings Give, and this shopping day was a pivotal moment. Vikings Give is also ensuring that 118 families will receive Christmas dinners, gas and grocery cards. Over 100 Viewmont students in need are taken care of, and support is given to the Valhalla Student Teen Center. This event is just one of many initiatives that showcase the power of community and the true spirit of giving at Viewmont High. A huge thank you to everyone involved for making this year’s Vikings Give such a success! #VikingsGive #ViewmontHigh #GivingBack #HolidaySpirit #Every1DSD

🎄🎁 Grinch Day Shenanigans in Davis School District! 🎁🎄 Recently, students at Whitesides Elementary celebrated a festive Grinch Dress-Up Day, and the day became even more memorable with a surprise visit from none other than the Grinch himself! The students enjoyed the whimsical charm of the Grinch, who made his appearance filled with the character’s signature mischievousness. Despite his reputation, we’re happy to report that no Christmas was stolen during the day's events. Instead, students engaged in a variety of fun activities that brought out their holiday spirit while dressing up in their best Grinch-inspired outfits.

Third Grade teacher Kim Valencia at Antelope Elementary is spreading kindness with a special project. Each student is contributing to a "care package" for those in need. The bags included essentials like toothbrushes, toothpaste, socks, snacks and a "sweet handwritten note from my kiddos," said Valencia. These packages are meant to be kept in parents' cars and handed out to those experiencing homelessness or hardship. It's a simple way to show compassion and make a difference! ❤️ #TeachingKindness #SpreadLove #Every1DSD
