Fifth graders from our school took part in an exciting five-day STEM experience at STARBASE Hill, a special program held on Hill Air Force Base. These five days give students time to learn, explore, and build on new skills. STARBASE Hill is designed to help students become more excited about science, technology, engineering, and math, especially those who may not always have the chance to explore these subjects.

Throughout the program, students participated in hands-on activities that made learning fun and memorable. They experimented with science concepts like energy and motion, used computer design tools to create space stations and shuttles, and even tried out robotics. Math skills such as measurement and data analysis were woven into the activities, and teamwork was a major focus as students worked together to solve challenges.

By the end of the experience, students return to school inspired, curious, and full of new ideas about what they can achieve in the world of STEM.
