Sterling Scholar recognizes outstanding high school seniors in areas like English, mathematics, science, social science, world languages, computer technology, skilled and technical sciences, speech/theatre arts/forensics, family and consumer sciences, visual arts, business and marketing, dance, instrumental music, and vocal performance. Winners and finalists can earn scholarships and recognition that look great on college and scholarship applications.

Viewmont High will host Utah College Application Week (UCAW) support October 6–8 during SRC/Lunch in the Library. Students can stop by any of the three days—Monday, Oct 6; Tuesday, Oct 7; or Wednesday, Oct 8—to get help with applications, essays, and next-step planning.
Bring your Chromebook and any login information you’ll need. Counselors and staff will be available to answer questions and help you make progress on your college goals.
The VHS Interact Club is collecting new socks to donate to the Valhalla Student Center and other Davis County Teen Centers.
Collection dates: October 1–15
Drop-off locations: Bins at Viewmont High School by the main office and the back door near the Teen Center.

Beginning Wednesday, September 10th, you will be able to schedule Zoom meetings with teachers through myDSD. Scheduling will close on Monday, September 15th at noon. Look on the teacher's homepage on Canvas for instructions on how to join the Zoom meeting.

Viewmont High School will be offering the PSAT to all sophomores and juniors on Tuesday, October 1st, beginning at 7:30 a.m. in the Media Center.
This test is more than just practice for the SAT—it provides valuable benefits for students, including:
Identifying academic strengths and areas for improvement
Gaining familiarity with the SAT’s format and timing
Qualifying for the National Merit Scholarship Program (for juniors)
Exploring college and scholarship opportunities through the College Board
We encourage all students to take advantage of this important opportunity!
