What a night at Sunset Elementary's Celebration of Learning!
Our school was filled with energy, creativity and tiger pride as students and families explored hands-on activities and celebrated a year of learning together. Every station reflected our school’s theme—including our Sunset Tiger spirit and our fun Mario-themed year—and it was amazing to see students so engaged and excited.
Families wrote haikus in the library, made silhouette art and joined in interactive photo booths with Beverly Taylor Sorenson Arts.
We loved hearing students ask, “How do you do a button?”—and then proudly walk away with one they had made themselves.
In the computer lab, older students helped younger ones with coding and printing projects. In classrooms, families admired animal crafts, writing samples and other creative displays.
The music room was full of joy as students built rhythms using real instruments.
"The music room was my favorite—I got to make my own rhythms," a student told us.
And of course, we ended the night with folk dancing—including Irish Stew and Rakes of Mallow—which brought everyone together in a truly joyful way.
We're so proud of our students, grateful to our staff and thankful for the incredible support from our families. It’s moments like these that remind us why being a Sunset Tiger is so special.
