6th Grade Students Learn During Clark Planetarium Visit

Our sixth graders had an out-of-this-world experience today as they ventured into the wonders of space. The students learned about stars, planets, and more, discovering that stars are not only incredibly hot but also the largest objects in space!

The students were able to ask questions like, “What is the largest planet?” and “Why are stars so hot?” as they explored the mysteries of the universe. They also got to dive into fascinating concepts like gravity, inertia and atomic measurements.

In an exciting activity, students learned how to measure a solar system using astronomical units, and explored how planets interact with each other in their orbits.

They even got the chance to hold a real space rock.

It was an engaging and interactive experience. Thank you Clark Planetarium for coming and sharing knowledge of the solar system with our students.
