Meet Our Art Teacher: Bobbie Jo Gifford

We’re thrilled to introduce Bobbie Jo Gifford, our amazing Art Teacher at Sand Springs Elementary!

Bobbie Jo and her husband have been married for 25 wonderful years and are proud parents to four incredible children—all of whom attended Sand Springs. Her family continues to grow and thrive: her oldest son is currently attending Weber and recently got engaged (they’re so excited to welcome a daughter-in-law into the family!); her daughter is studying at BYU-Idaho; her younger son is a sophomore at Layton High; and her youngest daughter attends Legacy Jr. High. At home, they’re all completely smitten with their newest addition—a sweet puppy named Winnie!

Originally from Preston, Idaho, Bobbie Jo has called Utah home for nearly 18 years. She’s passionate about art, which has always held a special place in her heart. As a child, it was her favorite subject, and she feels incredibly fortunate to now be living out her dream as an art teacher right here at Sand Springs.

When she’s not in the classroom, Bobbie Jo loves reading, painting with watercolors, traveling, shopping with her girls, and cheering on her kids in all their sports and activities. She’s also a huge football fan—Go Detroit Lions! Fall is her favorite season (hello, football!), and Thanksgiving tops her list of favorite holidays.

A few of her favorite things? The color green, Junior Mints, and Coke Zero!

Bobbie Jo says her family is the most beautiful part of her life, and she’s grateful every day for the blessing of being a mom. We’re lucky to have her creativity, passion, and heart at Sand Springs Elementary!
