What a wonderful success our Cereal Drive was, thanks to all our amazing Eagles! We hit our school-wide goal of 700 boxes and with our partnership with Lee's Marketplace, Associated Foods and General Mills, we were able to donate a grand total of 1,628 boxes to the Center for Hope Food Pantry. Congratulations to Mrs. Okleberry's class for collecting 151 boxes and earning Breakfast with the Principal!

Our little Eagles enjoyed a fabulous assembly for Native American Heritage Month. After, a few classes gathered and learned a circle dance taught to us by Ali and Peyton.

The second graders have been studying Early Asian Civilization. which covers India and China. For the final activity they made Dias (out of clay) which are lights used in the Diwali celebration. Mrs. Gibson, our STEM teacher, showed the students how to write in Chinese (Mandarin) using the characters that school age children are taught. She did a great job sharing her talents and supplies, which included a writing board and a calligraphy paint brush. The students used water on the boards and followed the design to learn simple words. At the end of the activity the kids all said that their hands and arms were tired!

We want you on our team! Coach Cable and Coach Megan are bringing Girls on the Run back to Orchard for Fall ‘25!
GOTR is for girls, grades 3-6, all abilities welcome! We’ll get our bodies moving, boost our confidence and have tons of fun!
Practices are Mondays and Wednesdays from 3:30-4:45pm starting on September 15 and ending on November 15 with a 5k Celebration at Sugar House Park.
There is a cost for the program that is paid to GOTR. Financial aid is available - no one will be turned away!
