Sophomores and Juniors will be taking the Practice ACT test at Layton High School on Tuesday, January 13, 2026, from 7:30 AM to approximately 11:30 AM. The Practice ACT test will be administered to sophomore and junior students at no cost.
There will be no classes on Tuesday, January 13 due to the Practice ACT.
On Tuesday, January 13, Practice ACT test examinees should report to their assigned classroom by 7:15 AM and must bring:
-Photo ID
ACT approved calculator (see the ACT Website for the approved list)
-#2 pencil
Electronic devices such as cell phones, smart watches, computers, or tablets will not be allowed during test time or during breaks. The College Board (ACT) officials are very strict with this guideline. Please see that your student does not bring any electronic device with them into the testing room on test day. Food or drinks may not be consumed in the testing classroom. Snacks will be provided during a 15-minute break.
The Practice ACT exam will include testing in Math, English, Science, and Reading. Students should come prepared for the test by having received a good night’s rest and a healthy breakfast.
The official ACT Test for all Juniors will be on Tuesday, March 24, 2026.
Students may view practice ACT test questions in their STAND Canvas course. There are study modules for each section of the ACT in the STAND Canvas course as well. In addition, the Davis Community Education program offers ACT prep courses.
