Kaysville, UT — Rebecca Johnson, a Secretary at Davis Adult Education, has been a steadfast supporter of students for nearly 20 years. Her dedication and warmth have made her a familiar and welcoming face in Davis School District, where she has worked as a Data Technician for Research & Assessment before spending the last eight years as the Secretary for Adult Education.
For Johnson, the role is more than a job—it's a calling. Each day, she makes it a priority to greet every student, helping them feel valued and seen. “I love working with our students and seeing them succeed,” she shared. “It’s important to me that they know they’re noticed and appreciated.” Her support extends beyond greetings, as she handles essential tasks like entering registrations and transcripts for students in the Davis County Jail, as well as those in ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) programs. She also assists parents, fellow staff members, and the broader community in understanding what Adult Education offers.
Originally from Green River, Wyoming, Johnson moved to Utah in 1996 and has since made it her home. Outside of work, she loves spending time with her family, especially her daughter and two grandsons, who live with her. Being part of her grandsons' daily lives is something she treasures deeply. An outdoor enthusiast, she enjoys camping, riding ATVs, and exploring nature with family, while her quieter moments are often spent with a good book.
Rebecca Johnson’s commitment to helping students succeed has made a lasting impact on Davis Adult Education and the many students she has touched along the way.
