Students and staff from Sunset Junior High School recently participated in the Law Enforcement Torch Relay alongside the Davis County Sheriff's Office to support the Special Olympics.
The event brought students, educators and first responders together to promote inclusion, celebrate individuals with intellectual disabilities and build meaningful community connections. We are grateful to the Davis County Sheriff’s Office and local first responders for helping create such a memorable experience for our students.
A special shoutout to driver-educator Paul Petroff, who proudly accompanied his son Jeremiah, a graduate of Davis School District’s Vista Program, during the relay.
Thank you to everyone who helped carry the torch for belonging, support and community.
