Teachers across Davis School District are collaborating, reflecting and refining their instructional practices through the High Reliability Schools framework.
The program provides educators with a roadmap for continuous improvement by using research-based strategies, classroom data and collaboration to help meet the needs of every learner.
Through the High Reliability Teacher cohort, teachers from across the district have come together to share ideas, set growth goals and learn from one another.
“High Reliability Schools has helped me be more intentional with the strategies I use in my classroom,” said Kim Smith, a child development teacher at Bountiful High School. “It has helped me improve immensely and find the joy in teaching again.”
TJ Strain, director of teaching and learning for Davis School District, said the goal is to help teachers make small improvements that create a lasting impact for students.
“Our teachers are already amazing,” Strain said. “This is just giving them more tools in their toolbox to amplify the great practices they already have.”
By focusing on collaboration, reflection and continuous growth, Davis School District teachers are creating stronger learning experiences for students every day.
