The Light the World Giving Machines opened this week at Ogden’s Christmas Village and the Davis Education Foundation is honored to be one of the featured organizations in this year’s campaign.
Foundation Director Kara Toone shared how meaningful it is for the district to be included.
“Being featured in the Giving Machines broadens our impact and brings much-needed resources directly to Davis School District students,” she said.
This year, visitors can select from five donation items that meet real and immediate needs within the district: assistance for unpaid school lunch balances, hygiene kits, welcome baskets for military-connected students relocating to the area, ukuleles to support music education and white canes for visually impaired students. Each donation purchased through the Giving Machines goes directly to programs that strengthen and support local students.
Clearfield High graduate Sarah Mills also participated in the kickoff event. A familiar and inspiring voice to many across the district, she spoke about the power of small acts of service and encouraged the community to help lift others throughout the holiday season.
The Giving Machines will remain available during the Christmas Village season for anyone who would like to participate.
