The Davis School District boundary permit process is now open for families seeking enrollment outside their designated school boundaries for the 2026-2027 academic year.

Key Dates and Process

  • October 1: Official enrollment count was posted online.

  • November 15: District posted next year’s projections, school capacities, openings and prior year application data.

  • November 15 thru First Friday in February: Early boundary permit request window. Applications submitted during this period will be included in a random number selection process.

  • March 1: Late permit requests open; random number sequence drawings conducted.

  • March 1 – March 31: Parents notified by email of boundary permit decisions.

  • March 15: Deadline for “Non-Continuation” notifications.

  • April 1: District posts actual enrollments and adjusted capacities for late enrollment.

  • August (three weeks before school starts): Late permit request period ends.

  • August (Friday before school begins): Final notice of acceptance or rejection for late applications.

How to Apply

  • Current families: Log in to myDSD, select “Tools,” then “Apply for Open Enrollment Permit.”

  • Out-of-district or new students: Call Student & Family Resources at 801-402-5159.

  • Kindergarten permits: Request directly at the school.
