The Davis School District boundary permit process is now open for families seeking enrollment outside their designated school boundaries for the 2026-2027 academic year.
Key Dates and Process
October 1: Official enrollment count was posted online.
November 15: District posted next year’s projections, school capacities, openings and prior year application data.
November 15 thru First Friday in February: Early boundary permit request window. Applications submitted during this period will be included in a random number selection process.
March 1: Late permit requests open; random number sequence drawings conducted.
March 1 – March 31: Parents notified by email of boundary permit decisions.
March 15: Deadline for “Non-Continuation” notifications.
April 1: District posts actual enrollments and adjusted capacities for late enrollment.
August (three weeks before school starts): Late permit request period ends.
August (Friday before school begins): Final notice of acceptance or rejection for late applications.
How to Apply
Current families: Log in to myDSD, select “Tools,” then “Apply for Open Enrollment Permit.”
Out-of-district or new students: Call Student & Family Resources at 801-402-5159.
Kindergarten permits: Request directly at the school.
