The Davis School District class of 2025 Latinos in Action (LIA) graduates fondly remember being tutored by previous LIA graduates when they were in first grade during the 2025 LIA Graduation Ceremony.
The LIA program in Davis School District proudly boasts the distinction of being one of the first school districts to implement the LIA program in its schools. And the 2025 class is one of the largest to receive their LIA diplomas and enter the world ready to conquer, lead and support their communities.
Founded by Dr. Jose Enriquez in 2001, Latinos in Action aims to bridge the educational gap for Latino students and provide them with opportunities for leadership and community involvement.
Since its inception, the program has expanded significantly, becoming an integral part of the educational landscape in the Davis School District.
LIA offers students tutoring, leadership training and community service opportunities, contributing to the positive outcomes for participating students.
