The Weber State University Certificate of Completion in General Education is the official documentation from the university that a student has completed the general education requirements of an Associate or Bachelor's degree. Once awarded, it will appear on students’ official transcripts and is considered part of their permanent record. Students must have a minimum GPA of 2.0 to be awarded the General Education Certificate of Completion.

High School students who take Advanced Placement (AP), Concurrent Enrollment (CE), or International Baccalaureate (IB) courses can receive college credit to apply toward this Certificate of Completion. The certificate requires the completion of 37 credits from various general education courses, many of which are taught in local high schools. 

To obtain a Certificate of Completion, students and parents should meet with their high school counselor to discuss their educational goals. During this appointment you will discuss if pursuing a degree through Concurrent Enrollment is a good fit.

The next step in the process is to meet with a WSU Concurrent Enrollment Advisor. During this appointment, you will review degree options with a WSU CE advisor and develop a plan for completion. (see below)
