    Jazz Band

    Jazz Band will begin first term 2 days a week, Wednesday and Friday from 7:15 am - 8:00 am. We will begin meeting Tuesday - Thursday at the start of 2nd Term. If you are interested in participating please contact Mr. Bailey at mabailey@dsdmail.net

    Congratulations to Rachel Dummer and Kathryne Weeks for being selected to the 2018 Jr High Alstate Band. Out over 300 applicants for the band these two are 2 members of the 100 memeber band from accross the state. Kathryne was also selected as the top Baritone player for the ensemble.

    *here at Fairfield we start the following instruments on a different instrument to help solidify correct playing habits, breath control and beginning musical understanding. -
    1. ALL SAXOPHONES (ALTO, TENOR, BARITONE) - 1 Semester of Clarinet or Flute (Audition for Saxophone Required) 
    2. OBOE & BASSOON - IT IS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED TO TAKE PRIVATE LESSONS FOR THIESE INSTRUMENTS
    3. PERCUSSION - Audition/Percussion placement test Required.
