My name is Denise Pearson.  I have been teaching Functional Skills and Peer Tutoring at Northridge high school for six and a half years.  I am  grateful to get to work at this wonderful school.  I have had the opportunity to work with many amazing teenagers and a wonderful faculty and staff.  I am always glad to answer any questions that you may have.  Please don't hesitate to ask.

I just want to tell you a little about what lead me into teaching people with special needs.  I grew up with a cousin with special needs.  I learned a lot from him and his family.  I attended Manti high school and was a peer tutor there.  I got my SPED teaching degree at Utah State University.  While I was there I worked as a teacher's aide in a special education class.  I also worked in a home with adults with special needs.  I love to work with all kinds of people and figure out what makes them tick.  Everyone is unique and has something great to offer the world.
