Five DSD students compete at the world's largest science fair

Five students represent the Davis School District this week at the International Science and Engineering Fair in Dallas, Texas. 

The event is the world's largest pre-college STEM competition and the students are competing against students from 78 other countries. Their travel to the fair was sponsored by Chevron.

The students and their research projects:

  • Neve Bawde of Millcreek Jr., Cancer and CRISPER: A Story of Two Assays
  • Grace Gunn of Farmington High, Gender Preferences in Character Archetypes
  • Kristina McCammon of Farmington High, Carbonation and Bacterial Growth
  • Thanaphone (Glenn) Shields of Syracuse High, Effects of Sound Exposure on PAOs
  • Zoe Wayment, of West Point Jr. Colored Light vs. Blood Pressure
