For the 15th year, hundreds of students participated in Davis School District’s Annual Martin Luther King Jr. Speech Contest.
To enter the contest, students of all grade levels select a favorite speech from Martin Luther King, Jr., memorize a one-to-three-minute portion of the speech and perform it at their school. Earlier this year, 85 school winners advanced to the district level to recite their speeches for a judges panel of current and former teachers.
It is a long-standing district tradition to invite the winners to perform their speeches for the Board of Education. Please enjoy speeches given by Alexander Harrison (Bountiful Elementary), Luca Bailey (Muir Elementary), Malan Poll (Burton Elementary) and Paula Flores (Burton Elementary).
