Phase 1: $7.9 million, 2009 bond
Renovations at Woods Cross High School was completed in two phases. Phase one was completed using funding from the 2009 bond – approximately $7.9 million. Phase two had an estimated cost of $15.9 million and was funded through the 2015 voter approved bond.
Phase one included the addition of new science rooms, administrative offices and a counseling center. The sewing and foods labs were relocated to the area vacated by the existing science classrooms. Plans for phase one were completed in April 2017 and bid by board-approved general contractor Hughes General Contractors in May. Construction began in June 2017.
Design of phase two began as soon as the first phase finished. The completion of the entire project was Fall of 2018.
