Early Childhood Inclusive Preschool

Davis School District provides preschool education for children 3-5 years of age. Our inclusive preschool program is dedicated to creating an inclusive learning environment that embraces both general and special education. We celebrate diversity, valuing each child's unique strengths and abilities. Our experienced educators are trained in inclusive teaching practices, collaborating with families and professionals to create personalized learning plans. Through this approach, we aim to provide a supportive and enriching educational experience that fosters social, emotional, and academic growth for all students. Our commitment to inclusivity not only promotes individual success but also cultivates friendships, understanding, and empathy among students, contributing to a more compassionate society. We invite families to join us in creating a community where every child feels valued, supported, and inspired to thrive.

This program is tuition-based with classes focusing on developmentally appropriate practices. This year we may offer scholarships for FREE preschool to children who are eligible for free or reduced lunch and meet the necessary criteria.

Inclusive Special Education Preschool serves children with disabilities 3 to 5 years of age. The majority of children are served in regular preschool classrooms with typically developing peers. Additional service options may include self-contained classes, home-based talking-time, home-hospital, etc. Services are based on the goals included in each child’s Individual Education Program (IEP).

Early Intervention

The Davis School District Early Intervention Program is a family-centered teaching initiative dedicated to supporting children with developmental delays aged birth to 36 months. This program involves a collaborative effort between a team of professionals, including motor and speech specialists, developmental specialists, nurses, and social workers. These experts provide services directly in family homes, childcare centers, or hospitals, recognizing the importance of familiar environments in a child's development. The program actively involves families, acknowledging their crucial role in a child's progress, and employs a holistic approach by addressing both physical and communication aspects of development. Through this comprehensive strategy, the Davis School District Early Intervention Program aims to optimize the growth and well-being of children with developmental delays, fostering a brighter future.
