Suzie oversees the elementary programs for students with mild/moderate disabilities in the 60 elementary schools in Davis School District, including preschool and early intervention. She provides consultation services and on-site technical support to teachers, administrators, school teams, and school faculties in the areas of staff development, staffing, file compliance, support team referrals, conflict resolution, safe schools manifestation, classroom management, scheduling, the LRE process, facilitating the use of effective, research-based instructional strategies and programs, and a variety of other areas.
Amy is responsible for the day to day operations of Special Education Preschool. She monitors and supervises the personnel who provide Special Education services to children with disabilities, ages 3-5. She coordinates staff development for the SpEd preschool staff, and also presents many of the sessions.
Mandy is the program coordinator for the Davis Early Intervention Program servicing children from birth to three years with delays and/or disabilities and their families. This program offers free evaluations for children to determine eligibility and home visits for those enrolled to help parents help their children. We focus on helping parents build skills and implement strategies to promote their child’s development during daily routines. Mandy organizes professional development opportunities for staff and arranges community events for families in July and December.

Her duties include:
- Support Preschool classrooms and staff.
- Collaborate and plan at weekly meetings with Preschool Leadership Team members
- Coordinate with parents and school administrators to support individual students
- Process in-state and out-of-state move-in files and assist in the coordination of community referrals
- Attend IEP meetings as the LEA for Early Intervention Transitions and Preschool classrooms
- Support, coach and train new classroom teachers
- Support, coach and train itinerant staff that work in Head Start classrooms
- Support, coach and train Preschool Social Behavioral Classroom staff
- Collaborate with the Preschool Leadership Team to plan and implement Preschool staff professional development
- Assist with DIAL screenings
- Head Start Facilitator in coordination with Early Learning Center
- Serve on Preschool Support Team
Her duties include:
• She works with children 0-5 years of age.
• Oversees the registration for both Regular Ed students and Students who have an IEP.
• Tracks registration fees and tuition payments each month.
• Assist the families moving into Davis School District with a child on an IEP.
• Handles the files of special education student files that are moving out of our district
• Assists transportation with busing requests
• Bills Medicaid for Early Intervention
I take the Early Intervention referrals for kids birth to 3 years of age with developmental delays. I am also the personnel, budget and purchasing secretary.
