What you need to know about Coronavirus
The Utah Department of Health has indicated that symptoms of novel Coronavirus are similar to what someone may experience as the result of seasonal illnesses that routinely spread in the community around this time of year – namely a fever, cough, or shortness of breath. These symptoms on their own are not worrisome and should not cause alarm.
Davis School District is in regular contact with the Davis County Health Department and is continuously monitoring the situation. Up-to-date information can be found on the Utah Department of Health website .
Access the latest updates from the CDC through a link in the menu on the left. The following measures and precautions should be practiced to lessen the spread of all seasonal illnesses — including Coronavirus: • Cover your nose and mouth with your elbow or a tissue when you cough or sneeze and throw the tissue in the trash after you use it. • Wash your hands often with soap and water, especially after you cough or sneeze. Alcohol-based hand cleaners are also effective. • Avoid touching your eyes, nose or mouth, as germs can more easily gain entrance into your body through those areas. • Stay home from school, work, and other social gatherings when you are ill. We remind you to be vigilant when it comes to making sure your child or children are healthy as they attend school.
