Accreditation—Davis School District

Davis School District has once again successfully completed the rigorous process of a system-wide accreditation with Cognia! The district is accredited through June 2025.

In October of 2019, an 18 member team conducted more than 700 interviews with district and school leaders, parents, community members, and students; reviewed documentation of virtually every aspect of a large district; and observed learning in more than 250 classrooms. Cognia's report indicates high levels of practice in virtually every standard and indicator, and offers insight into areas where improvements can be made. 

Davis was the first district in the state of Utah to earn systems accreditation in January 2015. Systems accreditation means each of the district's 92 schools (elementary, junior high, and high schools) is accredited by Cognia, the largest education accrediting organization in the world. Accreditation status is reviewed once every five years.
