Suicide Prevention Training
Two hours of Suicide Prevention Training is required for all district LICENSED employees. Both hours of Suicide Prevention Training must be completed every three years.
This requirement is outlined in Utah Code 53G-9-704:
“(1) A school district and charter school shall require a licensed employee to complete a minimum of two hours of professional development training on youth suicide prevention every three years.”
The first required hour is an online training provided through the UEN/USBE.

Log in using your UEN account credentials (username and password).
Print out the certificate when you are finished and KEEP the certificate as proof of completion for relicensing.
The second required hour is offered through the District.
The two district-sponsored Suicide Prevention Trainings for the 2019-20 school year will be held on Friday, October 4, 2019, at 3 PM and Friday, March 13, 2020, at 3 PM, at the Farmington High School Auditorium, 548 W. Glovers Lane, Farmington. This is a one-hour training. You only need to attend one meeting. No Registration or RSVP is required. (There is plenty of seating in the Farmington High School Auditorium.)
You will receive a certificate of completion at the end of the training. Again, keep your certificate for proof of completion.
