Bio
Suzi was previously a high school principal and Federal Programs Director before becoming the Human Resources Director. She has a Bachelor’s Degree from Weber State University (English major, Business minor), Master’s Degree from Utah State University, and an Administrative license from Utah State University. She received the 5A Utah Coach of the Year Award and the National Federation of Interscholastic Sports (NFSIA) Section 7 National Coach of the Year when she taught at Northridge High School. Suzi was an elementary intern at Adelaide Elementary, assistant principal at Viewmont and Clearfield High School, and the principal at Clearfield High School. She served as the President of the Utah Association of Secondary School Principals (UASSP) then became the State Coordinator for several years. She also served on the National Association of Secondary School Principals (NASSP) Board of Directors representing Alaska, California, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, Oregon, Utah, and Washington for four years as the Region 7 Diversity Director and Audit Committee Chair.

Steve has been with the district’s Human Resources Department since 1998 and currently serves as one of the department’s Associate Directors. Prior to joining Davis School District, he worked for the Utah Labor Commission and the University of Utah’s Office of Equal Opportunity. He holds a Master’s Degree in Human Resource Management from the University of Utah, and a J.D. from Brigham Young University.

Rodney joined the Human Resources Department in 2007. His previous positions with Davis School District includes five years as the HR Manager at PARC and four years as a teacher in alternative education. Rodney worked as the HR Manager for Barnes Aerospace prior to his employment with the District in 1998. He earned a bachelor’s degree in English from Weber State University, a master’s degree in human resources from Utah State University, and a Ph.D. in educational leadership from the University of Utah.

Fingerprinting for Background Checks
Hours
Due to the ongoing concern about personal safety related to COVID-19, fingerprinting is being done in a very controlled environment with strict adherence to safety protocols, which includes:
- Appointment or invitation only schedule, no walk-ins, at 15 minute intervals.
- Fingerprinting equipment and surfaces will be sanitized between each appointment.
- Patrons must wash their hands just prior to fingerprinting, have their temperature taken, and wear a facemask.
- All patrons are asked to sign a form confirming no symptoms of COVID-19.
- Fingerprinting is only available for District employees or new hires until further notice.
Human Resources is reaching out to employees hired during the soft closure and teachers renewing licenses to schedule fingerprinting appointments. New hires, coaches, and other District personnel needing fingerprinting for employment purposes should contact Human Resources at (801) 402-5722 to schedule an appointment.

New Employee Training
- Go to the district homepage at www.davis.k12.ut.us
- Click on the "Employees" tab
- Click on "DSD Canvas"
- Click on "Canvas Login"
- Enter your district email for the username. Your password is your first name with the first initial capitalized followed by your employee ID number - no spaces or dashes. If your password is less than 8 characters, you will need to add 0s to the end until 8 characters are reached.
- Hover your mouse over "Courses"
- Select your course from the dropdown menu that appears
- Click on "Modules"
- Start from the top of the list and click on a lesson to view
- Click on the video lesson to play
- Click to enlarge the lesson to full screen size if desired. Click again to minimize lesson size.
- Click on "Next" to go to the next lesson segment or quiz.
- After completion of each Module's quiz, click on "Grades" to see score received.

Request for Long Term Substitute
This form is used by school administrators to request long-term substitute pay. The selected substitute teacher will receive long-term pay regardless of their qualification as long as the assignment reaches 20 consecutive days or more. Ensure the form is signed by an administrator and send the form to Anjel in the SubSystems Office.
