High schools rank high nationally

Davis School District is home to some of the best high schools in the nation. U.S. News & World Report ranks Davis, Viewmont and Woods Cross high schools among the top 2,000 high schools in the nation. 

The 2021 Best High Schools were identified following a review of specific criteria for nearly 24,000 public high schools for the 2018-19 year. The ranking looks at six factors including college readiness of students, math and reading proficiency, underserved student performance and graduation rate.

Here's the ranking for all of Davis School District high schools. 

• Davis High: No. 829 in the nation; No. 6 in Utah;

• Viewmont High: No. 1,718 in the nation; No. 13 in Utah;

• Woods Cross High: No. 1892 in the nation; No. 17 in Utah;

• Bountiful High: No. 23 in Utah

• Farmington High: No. 24 in Utah

• Layton High: No. 33 in Utah

• Syracuse High: No. 34 in Utah

• Northridge High: No. 58 in Utah

• Clearfied High: No. 60 in Utah

• Mountain High was unranked
