1) Teachers select one of their Priority (skill) Standards - excluding Standard 1 (Concept Understanding) and the final standard (Effective Communication).
2) Instructional materials - strategies, tools, methods - are developed to teach and practice the standard/skill in connection with multiple pieces of their content indicated in the DESK Standards.
3) Assessment tools and analytic rubrics to assess the students level of mastery of the standard are created and implemented.
The artifacts to accompany the academic goal include the instructional tool(s), the assessments, and the rubrics.
