November 3, 2022 - Teacher/Coach storytelling workshop
Learn from professional storytellers on how to coach students to perform and tell stories.

November 2022 - January 2023 - Individual School Storytelling Festivals
- Coaches/Teachers will encourage student storytellers participation from their school, coach them to write and perform a story, and hold a mini-storytelling festival at their school. The program for the festival will be determined by the coaches and any volunteers.
- We encourage Dual Language Immersion Schools to hold a mini- storytelling festival in their immersion language.
- All participating schools are encouraged to have students participate as a virtual storyteller (perform a story via video recording).
- Coaches will train judges to understand the criteria for judging from the storytelling judging form below.
- Two students from participating schools will be selected by their judges to perform at the DSD Storytelling Festival on Jan. 19, 2023.

January 19, 2023 - DSD Storytelling Festival
- Location: Shoreline Junior High (Band and Choir rooms), 6:30p - 8:30p
- Two students selected from participating schools will perform for family and friends.
- Judges will select 18 students to perform at the WSU Storytelling Festival on March 1, 2023, 2 students for the Bilingual Session on February 27, 2023, and for the Virtual session (date TBD).
February 17, 2023 - Student Storyteller Coaching
- Location: Kendall Building, 2nd Floor (PDC training rooms), 5:30p - 7:30p
- Who: DSD Student Storytellers selected by judges from the DSD Storytelling Festival.
- What: Professional Utah Storytellers will observe each student performing their story and provide tips, insight, and recommendations in preparation for their performance at the WSU Storytelling Festival.
- Information will be sent to students, parents and coaches.
February 27, 2023 - WSU Bilingual Storytelling Festival, 10:30 am session
- Location: Weber State University, Shepherd Union Building
- Schools may register their class to watch student and adult storytellers perform in various languages.
- Schools will schedule their own buses. The Davis Education Foundation donated funds to cover some of the transportation fees.
- Two bilingual DSD student storytellers will be selected to perform (storyteller families are invited).

March 1, 2023- WSU- Davis Storytelling Festival
- Three session times are available: 9:30-10:20, 10:30-11:20, 11:30-12:20
- 18 selected DSD Student Storytellers will perform (storyteller families are invited).
- Schools will schedule their own buses. The Davis Education Foundation donated funds to cover some of the transportation fees.
- Please submit a separate registration for each class attending.
