Davis School District has a history of strong and successful AP programs in all of its high schools and junior high schools. The district was one of only four in the country to be named to the AP Honor Roll 7 years in a row. The district hosts the Intermountain AP Summer Institute since its inception in 2011 as part of a strong commitment to college preparation.
Stand out on college applications. AP courses on a student’s transcript shows that they’ve challenged themselves with the most rigorous courses available to them. And success on an AP Exam shows that they’re ready for college-level coursework.
Earn college credit and/or skip introductory courses in college. Most four-year colleges and universities in the United States—as well as many institutions in more than 100 other countries—grant students' credit, placement, or both for qualifying AP Exam scores.
You can search for the credit granted for specific AP courses at any university.
Information about credit for all AP courses in Utah's major universities can be found here.
Davis School District sponsors Utah's only College Board endorsed summer training - the Intermountain AP Summer Institute each summer. In 2024 an online-institute will be held June 10-13 and an in-person, at Farmington High School, July 9-12. College Board consultants from across the country will be facilitating sessions. Session and registration information can be found on the institute's Registration Websites.
