U Make Up Classes 2017-2018
Sign up in the main office to attend. 2:30 after school. Each class is $5. Classes will only be held when a minimum of 7 students sign up.

Come make up a U by helping with the Moonlight Serenade Senior Citizen Evening. We need students to serve and clean up dinner on Wednesday April 25th from 6:00 to 9:00. It’s a fun night of service, music, food and dancing. Sign up in the Main Office with Mrs. Steab.
Hosa is sponsoring the spring blood drive. Help save a life by giving blood on April 11th from 2-6pm. Sign-up in one of the health science classrooms (Ogden, Fahrenbach, Kurtz, Wright, or Christensen) or ask a Hosa member you know! One "U" can be made up by signing up with Mrs. Steab in the main office. Summer has the highest demand for blood. Help us to stock the supply of blood at the University of Utah and Primary Children's Hospital!
Auditions for next years Limited Edition, A Cappella Choir and Madrigals will be held April 10th, 11th and 12th. Audition information is available on Ms. May's website or in the choir room. Sign-up for an audition time on the choir office door.
Next week is Dart Spirit week! Monday March 26th (weather permitting) is sidewalk chalk drawing after school. Meet at the flag pole. Chalk is provided. At 3:45 there will be a chalk throw on the grass near the west parking lot. Tuesday March 27th is the spring sports tailgate near the baseball field. Come get a hot dog and then watch baseball, soccer or tennis. Wednesday March 28th is a sophomore class activity at Kaysville Theatre at 3:30. Thursday March 29th is a junior class activity at Kaysville Theatre at 3:30. The senior class activity is pickleball in the main gym from 4-6pm. Friday March 30th is food truck lunch! World’s Best Corndogs, Gnarleys, Chick-fil-A, Cup Bop and the Toasted Cheeser will be by the flag pole.
Registration will be at Davis High School beginning Monday May 7th until classes are full.

Petitions for Senior Class Officer will be available Monday, March 26th in room 1308. All candidates must have a 3.0 GPA, no U’s and plan on being a fulltime student at Davis High next year. Petitions are due to Ms. Meade in room 1308 by Wednesday March 28 at 2:30pm. There will be a mandatory election meeting on Thursday, March 29th at 2:30 pm in room 1308.

A four course meal prepared from scratch with your choice of mouth-watering halibut or prime rib.
The Davis High Jazz Band plays, specially auditioned and trained student singers perform big band era jazz numbers, and the Davis High Dance Company even gets in on the event with floor show entertainment.
This event is a fundraiser and community service sponsored by the Davis High Bands.
There will be an amazing silent auction.

Six Davis High School students were selected as winners in their category at the 2018 District STEM Fair. In the Chemistry category, Hannah Arnold took first place and Jessie Taylor and Kurt Thornton took third place. In the category “Medical & Health”, Brighton Cooper, Micah Laub, and Ambrie Taylor took third place. Congratulations!
Congratulations to our Orchestra! 40 participants went to the Region Orchestra Festival with 32 qualifying for state!
Congratulations to the Madrigals who received straight superior ratings in their chamber choir festival. They will be representing Davis High at the state festival at the end of April. In addition to the Madrigals, 18 solos and small ensembles received superiors and will continue to the state festival.
