Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
The Davis School District Educational Equity Department and Equity Committee would like to invite all K-12 students of the Davis School District to enter the 2017-2018 Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Speech Contest. This will give our students the opportunity to reflect on the legacy of Dr. King and what they can do to make a difference.
We encourage parents to share this opportunity with their students. This contest ties into the DESK standards which focus on reading, writing, speaking, and listening. Speeches must be memorized. A contestant may deliver their speech in a language other than English. Each contestant must provide the judges a copy of their speech in English.
Enteries are Due: October 23, 2017
