YOUTH WRESTLING OVERVIEW:

Youth wrestling was a huge success in its first and second seasons under the direction of the Syracuse High School program. We had 145 kids in our first year and 170 kids grades k-9 signed up this year. The wrestlers worked hard on developing their skills and love for the sport.
This program will take place annually with practices beginning in October and running for four weeks. The program will be for grades K-9 and will emphasize skills and a life-long love of wrestling, MAN'S OLDEST AND GREATEST SPORT. |

ELEMENTARY AND JUNIOR HIGH INFORMATION (2008-09 INFORMATION):
|
Elementary: Practices will be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays for 4 weeks beginning Oct. 28. grades k-1 will practice 5:30 - 6:30 pm; grades 2-3 will practice 6:15 - 7:15 pm; grades 4-6 will practice 7:00 - 8:00 pm. Cost is $35 if registered by October 22. Practice will be moved to Wednesdays from 5:30 - 7:00 pm in December and January.
Junior High: Practices will be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays for 2 weeks beginning Nov. 11. grades 7-9 will practice 7:45 - 9:15 pm. Practices will then be from 5:30 - 7:00 pm until the State Tournament on January 31. Information about tournaments throughout the state will be forthcoming. We will be hosting a junior high tournament on January 17. |
