Learn to Love and Love to Learn! |
Fifth Grade Journey Learning truly is a journey and fifth grade is an amazing year of discovery! I am looking forward to a year filled with adventures as we learn and explore new and exciting things! Our fifth grade journey will take us many places, it will even extend beyond the classroom as we take weekly nature journeys to explore and connect what we learn to the world around us. Welcome aboard, let the Journey begin!
THIS WEEK'S NATURE JOURNEY: We will go on a fun fractions scavenger hunt on the school grounds. hr color="cornflowerblue">

A MESSAGE FROM MRS. JOHNS:
This is the last week of the third term - I can't beleive how quickly the year is going! All missing work is due by Friday & Wednesday is the deadline for kids to retake any states & capitals quizes. Report cards will come home next week.
This week we will be finishing up our state powerpoints & mobiles & publishing our state essays in a fun travel brochure. We will also begin learning our State Play. Parents are invited to come watch our State Play and see your child's powerpoint & state projects during our State Fair on Friday April 2 from 11-11:40. Watch for an invitation to come home next week.
For those parents who are taking part in our parent child book club this term (No More Dead Dogs) I have had to postpone our book club breakfast to next Thursday istead of this Thursday due to a conflict. I hope to see many of you there!
Your children are working hard and doing great. I hold students to a high standard & they are really excelling in all areas. I am so proud of the progress I am seeing & I adore each of them! As always, please let me know if you have any questions or concerns about your child's progress in 5th grade.
