pencil English 10: This course consists of three main parts: the study of World literature, writing skills development, and language study. Students will be reading, discussing, and writing about pieces of great literature from around the world. We will be working on grammar, punctuation, word parts, and parts of speech. Students will develop their skills as writers and will practice writing for a variety of purposes and audiences. They will also practice discussion and debate skills. We will do some amount of standardized test prep, as well. Assignments will be geared toward students' academy interests.
stackofbooks English 12: This course consists of three main parts: the study of British literature, writing skills development, and language study. Students will be reading, discussing, and writing about pieces of great British literature through time. We will be working on grammar, punctuation, word parts, and parts of speech. Students will develop their skills as writers and will practice writing for a variety of purposes and audiences. They will also practice discussion and debate skills. Assignments will be geared toward students graduating from high school and entering college and the workforce.
