  • d Welcome Darts!
    ACT Prep classes for the Oct. ACT Test,  the first session will start   Saturday Aug. 29th   the second session will begin Saturday  Sept. 19th  ACT Prep Class  for the Oct. ACT Test.  To sign up please pay $60.00 in the main office and bring the receipt to the counseling office.

    Homecoming Week is September 8th – 12thThe theme is Get Up Stand Up. Homecoming week activities are: Street painting on Tuesday, September 8th after school, Homecoming Parade on Thursday, September 10th at 5pm.  Tailgate party and dart walk at 5:00pm on Friday before the game against Viewmont. The dance will be held Saturday, September 12th in the cafeteria.  The dance is boys choice and tickets are $15 and will be on sale next week.


    Spirit shirts are here! They will be sold in the commons during lunch. Shirts are $5.

  • Parking passes will be sold on Monday, August 31st during lunch to Seniors only and Wednesday, September 2nd to Juniors.   Please have car the parking pass form completely filled out including a parent signature. Forms are available in the Main office.   Requirements for purchasing a parking pass are:  No F's the previous term, including Advisory, All U's must be cleared by Friday, August 28th,   All outstanding fines and fees paid. Only one parking pass per family.  A limited number of passes are available this year on a first come first served basis. 


    float Key Club Opening Social will be held Wednesday September 2nd after school.  Meet between the Flag Pole and Auditorium.  We will have a Dash for Trash followed by Root Beer Floats!!!!  Come join the fun and become a member of Key Club. The Key Club is sponsored by “Kiwanis International” and is a service club.

    Yearbook pictures will be taken Thursday and Friday September 3rd and 4th during English Classes. 

    FBLA Opening Social will be during lunch Friday, September 4, in Mrs. Ward's Room 1215. Come have pizza and learn why you want to join FBLA this year! We will also plan our homecoming activities. If you are interested in being part of the officer team as a sophomore or junior rep, see Mrs. Ward

    Interact Club will be having their first meeting of the year on Tuesday, September 1st during lunch in the "A" building room 102.  If you are interest in joining the Interact Club, come on Tuesday and find out more! ASAP.

    For all students in the 8th period Swim conditioning class, the first day of class we will meet at 1:15 p.m. in the front lobby of Surf ‘n Swim in Layton. You will need to leave lunch a little early in order to get there on time. We will not be getting in the pool until our 2nd Class on Thursday.  We’ll see you there!

    Girls Basketball open gyms will be starting on September 14, and will run every Monday and Wednesday after that from 5-6:30 pm for anyone interested. The cost is $25 until October 26, and should be paid in the office. Take all receipts and questions to Coach Hewlett in room #2410. Follow us on Twitter and Instagram @whatsupatdavis

    READERS WANTED:  The Davis High Media Center will be sponsoring a monthly R-E-A-D-O competition.  It is like B-I-N-G-O, only with reading and books.  You can participate on a monthly basis or all year long, you decide.  Prizes will be given for B-I-N-G-Os and Black-Outs, and there will be larger prize competitions every three months for the most impressive readers.  The competitions will begin on Tuesday, September 1.  See a librarian for details.

    Microsoft Office Pro Plus 2013 Microsoft is now offering a free Microsoft Office subscription to our students as part of their District Office 365 account. This subscription allows students to install a full version of the Microsoft Office 2013 software at home on up to 5 devices. Software versions include Office 2013 for PC, Office 2011 for Mac, and Office Mobile for iPhone or Android.
