  • DAVIS HIGH'S Centennial Gala will be held on Saturday, May 10, 2014 from 7:00 - 10:00 p.m. at the school.  All graduates and their familiesmosaic D are welcome to come back and meet old friends and share memories of being a Dart.  Dancing and music will be provided by the Davis High Moonlight Jazz Band and Singers; Joe Folkman and the Barracudas, and Davis High's Battle of the Bands winner, Cerulean.  Bell Photography will be on site to take "friend pictures."  Admission is free.  Help us "Build our future by honoring our past."

    Davis High Summer Volleyball Camp (Boys/Girls) June 2nd - 6th. Learn new skills, work hard and have fun!  Kindergarten to 5th grade 1:00 - 3:00, cost $60.00, includes ball and t-shirt.  Incoming 6th to 12th grade 9:00 - 12:00, cost $80.00, includes ball & t-shirt.  Same family discount 2nd child - $5.00, 3rd child - $10.00. Meet in the main gym and come in the south entrance of the school.  Registration is due on the first day (make checks payable to DHS).   • ADVANCED THEATER AUDITIONS will be held on April 26 with callbacks on May 2.  Sign up for an audition time slot and pick up your audition packet in the Little Theater starting NOW.

    Citizenship Make-up classes have been scheduled for the following dates:
    April 23rd   2:30 – 5:30 Clears 1 U - $10.00 ($5.00 U fine, $5.00 class fee)
    April 30th– 2:30 – 5:30 Clears 1 U - $10.00 ($5.00 U fine, $5.00 class fee)
    May 7th – 2:30 – 5:30 Clears 1 U - $10.00 ($5.00 U fine, $5.00 class fee)
    May 14th 2:30 – 5:30 Clears 1 U - $10.00 ($5.00 U fine, $5.00 class fee)
    ARUP Blood Drive April 30 2:30 In the Commons– Clears 1 U - $5.00
    Alive @25– Defensive Driving Course – May 7th2:30-6:30 - $30.00 Clears 2 U’s
    The Defensive Driving Course is sponsored by the Utah Safety Council. This course will clear 2 citizenship U’s and can
    restore 50 points to your driving record.

    There are 4 ways in which a student can make up their Citizenship Credit:
    1.    4 hours service at DHS only or Community Service thru Kaysville City** (pre-approved) plus $5 fine
    2.    3 hour Citizenship Make-up class and $10.00 ($5 U fine plus $5 class fee)
    3.    2 Fleece Blankets plus $5.00 fine *Click Here for instructions
    4.    Increase GPA by .5 from previous term.

    **Community service that is not pre-approved may not be accepted (see Mrs. Gale or Mr. Firmage for approval.)

    The evening includes a full five course meal with your choice of 
    halibut or prime rib, big band era entertainment by the 
    Davis High Jazz Band 
    and Moonlight singers, 
    dancing for patrons ,
    and a floor show by the DHS Dance Company.

  • GOLDEN LEAVES, Davis High's literary magazine, is now accepting submissions of poetry, stories, art, and photography for this year's edition.  This is your chance to be published in high school.  You may submit your work to or in hard copy to Mrs. Horstmann in room 1802.  All work will be accepted.  The due date is April 25.

    Microsoft Office Pro Plus 2013 Microsoft is now offering a free Microsoft Office subscription to our students as part of their District Office 365 account. This subscription allows students to install a full version of the Microsoft Office 2013 software at home on up to 5 devices. Software versions include Office 2013 for PC, Office 2011 for Mac, and Office Mobile for iPhone or Android.

  • congratulations CONGRATULATIONS to the Davis High Science Olympiad Team who competed in the State Competition on Saturday.  They received gold medals in Chemistry Lab, Compound Machines, Mission Possible and Experimental Design; and silver medals in Water Quality and Disease Detectives.  Davis High took 4th place overall in the state with 29 high school competing. 
    CONGRATULATIONS to the Chinese 3 Class who received the highest scores and placed "Superior" at the BYU Chinese Language Fair:  Beth Caldwell, Santel Chen, Sierra Graham, Josh Haviland, Jake Hogan, Chelsey Johnson, Alex Oka, Josh Robinson, Kendall Sargent, Tag Steele, Jake Wilcox, and Justin Woodward.
