When Mr. Furch looked at his choirs October 29, at the choir concert with all of their uniforms on, standing together for the first time, he seemed both shocked and pleased. He picked up the microphone and said, "Someone take a picture; we look good!" More than one proud parent snapped a photo of that moment and many others throughout the evening.
Even though the choirs looked good, they sounded even better. Mr. Hadlock, who was seated amongst the 7th grade boys choir (all wearing red shirts - kind of like being in the Muss), stated the next day, "The choirs sang so well, the boys choir sat still and listened to their friends and peers in the other choirs." When it was the Boys Choir number, they sang with enthusiasm and energy.
Since Halloween was the same week as the concert, the theme of the concert was ghoulish. The final number was a combination of all students singing "Thriller", by Michael Jackson.
