  • Keyboarding Techniques

     

    Students need to sit up in their chairs with their backs against the chairs.   Fingers on the home row letters.   Feet must be down out of their chairs and should be in front of them.   Students should be looking at their monitors not their hands if they are keyboarding from the computer.   Eyes on copy if they are keyboarding from a booklet or a document.

     

    District goals for keyboarding for the end of the school year:  
    3rd grade is 15 WPM or above   4th grade is 20 WPM or above  
    5th grade is 24 WPM or above   6th grade is 27 WPM or above   
    Accuracy should be 95% or above.

This subscription allows students to install a full version of the Microsoft Office 2013 software at home on up to 5 devices. Software versions include Office 2013 for PC, Office 2011 for Mac, and Office Mobile for iPhone or Android.
