  • We are SO excited to bring a Watch D.O.G.S. program to Holt Elementary! D.O.G.S. is an acronym that stands for Dads of Great Students.

Watch D.O.G.S. is a national program with an educational initiative to get fathers involved in their child’s education. The main goals of the Watch D.O.G.S. program are: 1) to provide positive male role models for the students, demonstrating by their presence that education is important, and 2) to provide extra sets of eyes and ears to enhance school security and reduce bullying.

We hosted our Watch D.O.G.S. launch event on November 20, 2014 at our school. This event was for dads and their students to attend. Dads, grandpas, uncles, etc. learned about Watch D.O.G.S., ate pizza, and enjoyed an evening of fun.

To find out more about Watch D.O.G.S., visit their website or you can watch this video created by the Today show that highlights the Watch D.O.G.S. program.

  • New Apps for MyDSD

Davis District has just released new apps for MyDSD - the portal that lets you look at your student's grades and other information. Listed below are the instruction links that guide parents and students on how to use the MyDsd App.  Parents can now sign up for notifications (school lunch balances and absences), if desired. This App also allows parents and students to see information similar to what they currently see on the web version of MyDSD.

To find this free app, go to iPhone’s App Store or Google Play for the Android; type in Davis School District and the app will be available for download.

    Here are the direct links:
