The Davis School District has two apps available that could make life a little easier for parents
The MyDSD app works much like the MyDSD portal on each school's website. Parents can see their student's schedule, academic grade and absences, receive notifications about lunch balances and even view assignments and information about a teacher. It can be downloaded on a smartphone or iPad. Go to the AppStore for your device and type in MyDSD.
The Nutrislice app will help parents answer that question: "What's for lunch today?" Parents can look at the menu weeks in advance and even get nutritional information about each item. To download from the AppStore, type in Nutrislice.
Microsoft is now offering a free Microsoft Office subscription to our students as part of their District Office 365 account. This subscription allows students to install a full version of the Microsoft Office 2013 software at home on up to 5 devices. Software versions include Office 2013 for PC, Office 2011 for Mac, and Office Mobile for iPhone or Android.
Information and instructions for installing Office 2013 are available here.
For more information, you can check the Microsoft In Education blog, which has answers to FAQs about the Microsoft Student Advantage/Office 365 ProPlus program.
