The Senior Project is
required for completion of the Senior Language Art standard in Davis School
District.

There are four elements of the Senior Project.
They include:

Portfolio
|
-
Your portfolio will contain items of interest to both college admissions
and employers. The portfolio
will contain items such as transcripts, resume, skill certificates, achievements
etc. The information
in your portfolio can
be maintained and updated
beginning in the 9th grade.
|
Research
|
-
This aspect of your Senior Project is formal research paper. It
is a written presentation of your career goal or your area of occupational
interest. This is usually completed
during your senior year in your English class.
|
Project
|
-
This portion of your Senior Project is designed to enhance your research
topic. This project choice
should give you a chance to discover more about your career or occupational
interest choice. You will
be required to design a project, present the project for approval and obtain
verification on the completion of your project. The
project is usually completed during your senior year.
|
Presentation
|
-
This is the final step of your Senior Project. Each
student will present research knowledge and project participation with
their peers, teachers and other invited guests.

in Applied Technology Education Leadership Organizations such as TSA and

·Participation
in school or community programs such as music, art, sports yearbook or
newspaper staff, volunteer programs, service learning experiences.
·Participation
in School Government, or community council.
·Membership
or participation in other activities, clubs or experiences that provide
career awareness and exploration.
·Participation
in Service Learning experience.
