PARENTS PLEASE HELP US WITH OUR
DROP OFF AREA

1. Please do not drop your students off or pick up students in the middle of the drop off lane or in the middle of the parking lot.

2. You may pull up to the red curb in the car lane and park, but YOU MUST REMAIN IN THE CAR. If you need to leave your car, please park in a parking stall. There are usually openings in the southwest area of the main parking lot.

3. Enter the bus lane only when directed or after all buses have left the lane.

4. Children & parents please cross at the proper cross walks.

5. Children please walk with caution in the parking lot.

6. Children need to listen to crossing guards.

7. Only vehicles that display the proper handicap sign may park in the handicapped parking stalls.

We care for your children’s safety and we ask that families read and review this with your children.
Dear East Layton Families,

East Layton Bobcats have shown RESPECT and ACCOUNTABILITY this month by working on behaviors, serving the people of Haiti, and by doing their best in class.

Recently our 6th graders went to Central Davus Junior High for an orientation. They were shown around the school by student leaders, many of whom were former East Layton Bobcats. I have been told for many years how much the junior high values the students from our school and the skills they have been taught here. We know that this is also because of our great families.

We held conferences for 613 students out of 630—97%! But we did miss those 17 students that didn’t attend. If you weren’t able to conference with your student’s teacher, please make an appointment on March 31st which is a consultation night for teachers and parents and students. It is also our Arts Night and many of our younger students will be performing.

March is WRITING MONTH and we have many fun activities planned that you can view on our calendar—one special event is our first ever school musical written and directed by two talented parents, Jennifer Nielsen and Shauna Christensen with many more parents helping and of course 80 talented students!

Respectfully,

Beth Johnston
