Canyon Heights High School is a unique school designed specifically for students who are young parents and students who are considered "emotionally fragile," and who have personal challenges in attending a large high school. To enroll at Canyon Heights, a student must be referred through their school counselor and have district approval.

Our school mascot, the Phoenix, is a symbol of rebirth and immortality, having been reborn young and strong from its own ashes. This Greek symbol can bear immense loads and its tears have healing powers. It is a very loyal friend. Canyon Heights is a school that replicates the Phoenix. Our goal is to rekindle the students' desires to get an education, despite struggles in their lives. Classes, support counseling , and community services are available to students who attend school. Students develop "can do" attitudes when successes become reality.
