The teacher should visit the sites ( http://www.mapquest.com/ and http://MapsOnUs.switchboard.com/bin/maps-planroute/usr=~new ) beforehand to ensure that each site contains appropriate information for your students.

Instructional Procedures
1. Visit the web site and enter the address of your home.

2. Click on the Get Directions button and describe both the relative and absolute location of your home. Pay attention to total distance, estimated time of travel, longitude, and latitude.

3. Print the map and list of directions. Are they the best route?
