Suggests site to help students determine the number of immigrants entering
the United State through Ellis Island.

Instructional Procedures
1. Students visit the web site and discover how many immigrants entered
Ellis Island from the same country as one of their ancestors.
2. Students create a timeline showing immigrant numbers during selected
time periods.
3. Students should locate some information on a famous immigrant.
4. Students can listen to Rose Kelly Loughlin's story of immigrating
to the U.S. in 1925 or Maurice Soifer's story from 1922.
