Background

Introduction
Divide the class into eight groups. Assign each group a room in the White House.
Instructional Procedures
1. Pairs of student rotate to the computer and complete the fact sheet on the assigned room.
2. The pair will then locate the other pair that was assigned the same room. The four students compare their answers on the fact sheet.
3. Using the "Popcorn" Cooperative learning model, the four students will disperse into separate numbered groups, where each student becomes the "expert" on the assigned room.
4. Each expert teaches the others in the group about their room.
5. Each group prepares a short report on their eight rooms for publication in school newsletter.
