Recognizing the safe transportation of students as this department's primary responsibility, it is therefore the Mission of the Davis School District Department of Transportation to provide safe, dependable, and efficient transportation as a support service, designed to enhance the educational opportunities of all school children; to ensure the purchase and operation of well maintained district vehicles, including the selection and training of qualified professional drivers, assistants, maintenance and office staff; to provide a climate of quality communication, cooperation and collaboration, emphasizing the importance of strong and humane interdependent working relationships.
