The “Technology Enhanced Classroom” is a classroom for 21st century learning and skills.
21st century skills are the full integration of core subjects with:
1. 21st Century learning tools. This includes information and communications technologies, such as computers and networking, as well as audio, video and other media tools.
2. 21st Century context. This means teaching with relevant real-world examples, enabling students to see connections between their studies and their world.
3. 21st Century content. This is additional subject matter including ethics, communication, and teamwork.

The TEC Lab
The TEC Lab is a Technology Enhanced Classroom set up as a lab where teachers can come for training on the equipment. TEC Lab instructors help teachers to utilize the technology successfully in their classrooms.
Our goals:
For teachers and students to utilize technology in an efficient and effective manner and to fully take advantage of the benefits of using technology to improve the education of students, three components must be present. These are:
•Access to technology, i.e., the hardware, software, and infrastructure
•Professional development opportunities for teachers in the use of the technology
•On-going technical support to maintain the systems |
