Announcements

Drill Team Tryouts for 2010-11 will begin with a orientation meeting on Friday, April 2nd at 2:30 pm in the Dance Studio. Clinics will be held on Monday, April 12th, Wed. April 14th and Friday, April 16th from 3:00-5:00 pm. Audition will be April 17th at 8:00 am.

ACT Prep class is now beginning for the April test. All juniors should plan on taking this test. Registration should be completed by Friday, March 5th. Click here for information on the class.

If you want to become a cheerleader for 2010-2011, there will be a mandatory parents meeting Monday April 12, 2010.  Clinic will be April 19-22, with try-out on Friday April 23, 2010.

Spotlights

Congratulations to the BHS students who went to the state level in Reflections: Tyler Hall (Music Composition), Steven Ward (Music Composition), and Baileigh Bangerter (Literature). Tyler Hall earned an Honorable Mention award at the state level. Well done!

Congratulations to the following students!  They all received overall Superior Ratings at Region Drama and qualified for State Drama in April. 
Jenna Cole, Jacob Cardinal, Taylor Smith, Devin Franke, Haley Luker, Madison Murphy, Alexis Newhouse, Erica Farnes, Erin Crouch, Daniel Fisher and Bailey ClaeysJenna Cole and Jacob Cardinal also took 1st place in the Musical Theatre category. 

Aimee Barker won the best of show at the Norther Utah High School Art Show at Weber State and a $3,000 scholarship from the Art Institute in Salt Lake City.

The following placed at Region in the Science Olympiad: 6th Place in Anatomy and Physiology, Kent Williams and Kathryn Whipple; 3rd Place in Cell Biology,Kent Williams and Rosalie Griffin; 3rd Place in Write It. Do It, Nick Johnson and Rosalie Griffin.
Club News
The Key Club Convention in Boise has now been approved.  The dates are March 26-28, and there will be a bus going to Boise.  If you are interested, please come and let Ms. Christy know by Wed, March 10th so she can get a count.  Information on paperwork and fees will follow.

The
Creative Writing/Slam Poetry Club will meet every Thursday during tutorial.
