    Congratulations to Tegan-Alexis Martin for taking 3rd place in the District Martin Luther King Jr. Speech Contest.

  • Weekly Announcements (November 2015)

    Nov. 4: -There is a girls’ softball meeting after school at 4:00 pm in room 280.  Information about the upcoming season and open gym will be given.

    Nov. 5: -The volleyball team is facing off against Fremont in the State Tournament at UVU. -There is also a Boys Basketball Tryout Meeting in the small gym at 2:30. -NHS Service Project at 2:30. We are sewing bags for the homeless while watching a movie and eating popcorn.  Come serve and have fun. -The first play of the LHS Theatre Season, BLITHE SPIRIT, opens today! It’s a hilarious comedy about a man who, through an unusual set of circumstances, must deal with both his current AND his deceased wives. Performances of Blithe Spirit are Thursday-Saturday both this week and next. Tickets are $5 for LHS students online at or in the box office from 12-2 on Wednesday-Friday.

    Nov. 7: The Last Lancer Standing Triathlon will be on the track at 8 a.m. 

    Nov. 9: -If you are interested in finding out more about indoor track and field, there will be a brief informational meeting Mon. Nov. 9th at 2:30 in Coach Katoa’s room #169. -Girls’ Basketball Tryouts will be held at 2:45pm in the small gym. -Wrestling also starts at 3:00 pm in the wrestling room, make sure your drinking lots of water this week.

    Nov. 9-20: This is a reminder that Layton High School will be hosting Utah College Application Weeks. This is an opportunity for all seniors to apply to at least one college if they haven’t.  Students should come to school those weeks knowing where they want to apply and prepared to fill out a college application.  The college application fee will be waived for students who apply to Dixie State or Snow College during our UCAW event.

    Microsoft Office Pro Plus 2013 Microsoft is now offering a free Microsoft Office subscription to our students as part of their District Office 365 account. This subscription allows students to install a full version of the Microsoft Office 2013 software at home on up to 5 devices. Software versions include Office 2013 for PC, Office 2011 for Mac, and Office Mobile for iPhone or Android.
